I have been in class here for three days and I still can't believe it. I really can't believe it. I have to constantly pinch myself. I will absolutely have my pick of positions in any county in the state of Virginia once I graduate, and in the vast majority of countries across the United States but particularly on the west coast. I will be able to teach anywhere I want. I go to UVA, UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA, I'M IN CURRY
If that's not cool enough, I get to pick another major! I chose psychology after much deliberation because it seems as though it would be most appropriate for my field. English? Economics? Anthropology? Philosophy? Ummm no thx. Psychology would be great in a field which revolves around human interaction. I can even tailor my courses around my field, to make it a BA specializing in childhood development. The only problem is that everyone and their fucking Uncle Dick wants to major in psychology. Is this the #1 "Why Not?" degree, or what? ARE YOU ALL GOING TO BE PSYCHOLOGISTS? NO? THEN GET THE FUCK OUT
I would never have chosen it, and I'd much rather major in elementary ed...but you can't do that in Virginia. So we do what we can. It's a pretty relaxed major with so much room for individuality and preference. I think it will offset my rigid education track nicely.
I really can't get enough of my teaching class. I honestly believe I chose the perfect career. Yes, I know I've got about a million bubbles just begging to be burst, but my interest level combined with job outlook = lol gotta luv it
I just found a hibachi carryout restaurant. Jim is on his way to visit for the evening and I think I will go pick some up.
GOD I HATE STAYING IN AN APARTMENT AAAAA, every time someone runs the water it sounds like a thunderstorm.
